Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account info: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), and ZIP code
• Business info: business name, address, category, and phone number, for business accounts
• Device push token: if you enable notifications, so we can deliver deal alerts to your device
• Usage data: deals you view, follow, or claim, and your notification preferences

2. How we use it

We use this information to match you with deals in your ZIP code, deliver the notifications you've opted into, let you redeem deals via claim codes, and generally operate and improve the Service.

3. Third-party services

We use Expo/EAS and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications, and standard cloud hosting infrastructure to run our backend and database. These providers process data only as needed to provide the Service.

4. Data retention & deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes your account, follows, claims, notifications, and device registration. There's no waiting period and no way for us to recover it afterward.

5. Children's privacy

FlyerBuzz is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

6. Your rights

You can review and correct your account information at any time in Profile settings, and delete your account and all associated data whenever you choose.

7. Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. This website

flyerbuzz.app does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
